No Tigersushi is not the latest sushi restaurant in Paris. In fact, 1999 Tigersushi started as a internet site dedicated to promoting music. In 2001, it's nobel purpose expanded into a record label representing a list of cutting artists such as Poni Hoax, Principals of Geometry, Sir Alice and Panico. From tropical Post Punk to synthetic rock, the integrity of the music Tigersushi produced created a lot of buzz. But it was one album in particular that made Tigersushi an essential label of the new millenium... D.I.R.T.Y Space Disco.

Today Tigersushi Furs - the label's clothing line is the newest frontier for the Parisian underground record label. It's first boutique opened in September in Northern Marais with a collection of unisex polos, jeans, cardigans, jumpers and of coarse, band tee-shirts.  The clothing is edgy and unique, not surprising given the nature of the underground music scene. Yet quite surprising is the rich quality of the line. The pieces are radical, yet accessible. Young and iconic, yet classy and sophisticated.

The colors are fun, and the space bright. It's worth a visit to see this newest concept boutique.

The use of light and multi-teared white columns makes the simple boutique breathtakingly fresh. This brightness mixed with the video game icons and tiger statues expresses well the irony of a successful company that doesn't take it's success too seriously. It's always been about the music for Tigersushi. And of coarse they have all their records available in the boutique, in vinyl as well as cd.
